At this point the fuel injection system will change from open-loop to closed-loop fuel control.Feb 01, 1996 · The wide-range sensor's signal is sensitive to changes in the gas composition when keeping the air/fuel ratio constant at a rich value. Since the gas compositions up- and down-stream of the converter differ, the sensor signals are not identical for the same rich air/fuel ratio before and after the converter. Bank 1 sensor 2 is after the cat (down stream) both lambda sensor's are on bank 1 as you dont have a 'v' engine so only have 1 bank. You will need to replaced the sensor as they are non servicable. The heating side bring's the sensor up to optimum working temp sooner so that the emmisions can be controlled better.Oct 25, 2019 · lambda sensor exhaust. Apr 22, 2019 · The front heated oxygen sensor is used to monitor the air-fuel ratio by the ECM, and whose signal prompts the ECM to perform air-fuel ratio feedback control. As a result, the air-fuel ratio is balanced, and the waveform of the front heated oxygen sensor regularly oscillates between rich and lean. Wide-band Lambda probes are placed on the beginning of exhaust system, before CO catalytic converters. Control Lambda probes are placed after CO catalytic converters. The exhaust system of N43 series engine (with one wide-band probe, one CO catalytic converter and one control probe). Sep 11, 2011 · It seems that EPER has mixed the different lambda probes, if you take a look at Bosch online catalog it lists 0258006411 (LS 6411) as a lambda diagnosis sensor (post cat-number 5 in the picture) and 0258006376 (LS 6376) as a lambda control sensor (pre cat-number 18 in the picture), it is confusing as sellers of bosch lambda also list 0258006376 ... On a 182, the pre cat sensor is the one that affects the running of the car. The post cat sensor (bolted to the end of the cat) only measures emissions and throws up the light. Rough Idle on start up is quite normal for Sports though. Try swapping the two Lambda sensors over, see if that improves the engine running. The O2 sensor should read about .5 volts when the engine is running normally. This, I believe corresponds to a 14.7 air to fuel mixture. A higher voltage indicates a richer mixture and a lower voltage indicates a leaner mixture. I would think that your sensor is working if the voltage output changes with throttle changes.Oct 25, 2019 · The lambda sensor, also called an oxygen sensor, is a small probe located on the car exhaust, between the exhaust manifold and the catalytic converter.
